Some BAM SHIFTS may require BLUE Loctite to align your knob to your liking. Simply add a couple drops to the threads of your Bam Shift, align the knob to your liking, and let sit overnight.
Using blue Loctite will hold the Bam Shift in position and allow for removal with some force if needed at a later time.   When installing your new Bam Shift do not over tighten, doing so may damage the shifter or threads.  




Q: What's my thread size/How do I find out my thread size?

A: There are 3-4 main thread sizes that most cars have.  To find out your thread size simply search on google, make/model followed by shift knob thread size, or contact us and let us know your vehicle model.


Q: What if my knob is not threaded?

A: Some cars have clip knobs rather than screw on.  We may need you to measure your shifter rod so we can make the insert wide enough to fit, but we do have an insert that uses set screws to secure the knob in place. 


Q: What happens if my Bam Shift breaks?

A: We will replace or fix any broken shift knob with an identical one. We must receive proof that the original is broken or defective before a new one will be sent.


Q: I drive a car with an automatic transmission. Can I still install one of your shift knobs?

A: If your stock shifter has any kind of button on it, Installing an aftermarket shift knob usually requires the use of an adapter. We do not offer these adapters. However, there are many different options available online If your shift knob does not have a button on it, in most cases, our knobs will fit. Feel free to contact us if you need further clarification.


Q: How heavy are the Bam Shifts shift knobs?

A: Bam shifts shift knobs range from a weight of 10oz to 14oz depending on the length of the bamboo knob/handle you are purchasing.


Q: What are Bam Shifts inserts made of? 

A: We use solid steel inserts that are strong and won't strip or break, unlike the cheap plastic and nylon inserts other companies use. The insert also adds weight and strength to the already strong Bam Shift.

Q: What is BAM SHIFTS return policy?

A: We guarantee our work and our BAM SHIFTS, we will replace or fix any broken or defective BAM SHIFT shift knob with an identical one. The defective item must be returned before a new one will be sent, we will send a shipping label for the defective return. If a refund is wanted without a replacement and the BAM SHIFT is not defective buyer must pay return shipping, once the item is received here at BAM SHIFTS a refund may be issued. Please send an email to with an attached photo of the problem item and we will get back to you regarding the issue as soon as possible.  Additional information below.

General Returns
Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately, we can no longer offer you a refund or exchange on non-defective items.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item so make sure you go through the right shipping procedures.
